Review: Sleek Makeup

Hello my lovelies! I finally got my hands on sleek makeup products! *victorydance* I purchased them from colourscosmeticsmalaysia.com (link is in the sidebar) after searching high and low for websites in malaysia that sells them. Go check the website out! Other than a slight delay in delivery, due to the festive season i suppose, my shopping experience with them was worthwhile and I highly recommend them if you are looking for beauty products which are not available easily in Malaysia eg: Sleek, Wet and Wild, sigma brushes etc. Without further chitter chatter, lets  go straight to the review!

Sleek i-Divine eye palette in oh so special

It was hard for me to choose only one palette because all of them look so pretty. I decided on this one because I am a neutrals girl but there are some pinks in this palette that I would like to experiment with.

The packaging is really nice. The name suits well as the palette is very sleek looking. The feel of the casing is nice (feels rubbery to the touch) and it is very compact and not flimsy at all. But the surface tends to get dirty easily due to the material.

Top row, left to right:

1. Bow: A creamy off-white color. I like that Sleek threw in a matte highlight shade but this color is just too chalky. I would suggest use a really good liquidy primer to get this color to attach and appear otherwise I would just skip this shade.

2. Organza: A beautiful shimmery rose gold. This color blends beautifully and has a nice creamy texture. I did not experience any (very minimal) fall out while working with this shadow.

3. Ribbon: A warm corally pink. I really really do want to love this shade but this also can appear powdery/ chalky when packed on the lid. It lacks pigmentation so you would have to build up in order to get the exact color as in the palette but then it would be too powdery.

Bottom row, left to right:

1. Pamper: Matte pastel pink. Too chalky. Skip this. Seriously.

2. Gateau: Shimmery violet with gold undertone. This shade glides on beautifully on the skin. Has a creamy texture and blends well. The color is different when applied than how it appears in the palette. Once applied and blended it looks violet under cool light and gold under brighter/warmer light.

3. The mail: Matte medium brown. Unlike the previous matte colors, this one is one is well pigmented. In real life, the color is lighter than the picture i captured, it is shown better in the swatches below. This color is the closest to my skin tone and i used it as a blending color.

Top row, left to right:

1. Gift basket: Shimmery coppery gold. Like the other shimmer colors, it applies so well and has no fallout. Again i apologize for the bad lighting. The color is way off here but the swatches below are better. I promise! -.-'

2. Glitz: A cool tone shimmery blue. Has a creamy texture and an extremely well blend-ability.

3. Celebrate: Shimmery taupe-ish mauve. Again, a beautiful dark shimmery colour that applies impressively and gives off excellent pigmentation.

Bottom row, left to right:

1. Boxed: Matte dark cool tone brown. This color is lacks in pigmentation but it can be build up without being cakey. Blends well.

2. Wrapped up: Matte taupe plum. If you want a twist in your normal neutral eye look, use this colour instead of a dark brown in the crease. The colour is buildable without being cakey and blends well too.

3. Noir: Matte jet black. Colour payoff is extremely well. I would use this in the outer V to intensify my eye makeup or even as a liner for a softer eyeliner effect.

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette in Lace

L to R: Crochet, Guipure, Chantilly

L to R: Crochet, Guipure, Chantilly (Under direct natural light)

L to R: Crochet, Guipure, Chantilly (Under shade)
1. Crochet: Bright warm tangerine. Highly pigmented! It has a matte finish and when use lightly can give off a beautiful sheer healthy glow on the cheeks.

2. Guipure: Shimmery golden coral. This colour is beautiful but sadly i do not think that that it can be pulled off as a blush. Maybe a highlighter if used lightly. It  glides on beautifully on the skin but the shimmer makes it hard to work with. I would suggest use it as an eyeshadow, what a waste! ;(

3. Chantilly: Bright matte pinky coral. Again, excellent color payoff, blends well, buildable and easy to work with. I like sheering off bright blushes to give a glowing effect and this colour is great for that purpose!

Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light

L to R: Bronzer, Highlighter (Light)

L to R: Bronzer, Highlighter

 1. Bronzer: A medium toned brown. This product applies sheerly but can be build up for precise contouring. It blends easily and the medium toned colour makes it perfect for contouring. Not too orange and not too muddy.

 2. Highlighter: Shimmery cool tone peach. This product is not the most finely milled shimmer in the world and can give off noticeable chunky glitters when applied. It is very well pigmented though and blends really well.

L to R: Nyx Matte Bornzer in Medium, Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light, Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Application on face

Ribbon on lid, Organza in inner corner and inner part under the eye,  The Mail as blending colour in the upper crease, Boxed in the outer V and crease, Wrapped Up smudged under the waterline and I used Noir to tightline the upper waterline.

Bronzer to contour and blush in the colour Chantilly.

Final Thoughts

Sleek i-Divine Eye Palette, RM 52: B-
Get it ONLY if you are beginner in makeup and would like to start out with eyeshadows and you want a budget friendly option or you want to venture out with new colours but do not want to put a hole in your pocket. The colour spread is vast and you will be spoilt with choices. I would highly suggest to use a good primer with this palette.

Sleek Blush By 3, RM 58: A-
Get it. You cannot go wrong with this cheek palette. I will gladly turn a blind eye on the shimmery blush because the other two are ah-ma-zing. There are a lot of colour scheme to choose from and I highly recommend this for beginners and also people who are looking to expand their collection. I would suggest use a light hand for applying.

Sleek Face Contour Kit, RM 44.50: A
Get it. What more can I say? The bronzer is pigmented, applies beautifully on the skin, blends well, great colour and non-cakey at all. Skip the highlighter and just use the bronzer.

I hope this review is helpful and any comments are very much appreciated! Ta loves!
